Dessert Before Dinner is all about the sweet stuff- events centered around community and joy, fun beverages and treats, and fabulous new friends.
Our social club was founded in Philadelphia to bring people together and encourage creative expression for anyone who is interested. We host multiple events each month, both indoor and outdoor (weather permitting) and often partner with local artists and businesses to provide engaging and welcoming events!
Everyone is welcome here- we just ask for mutual respect all around. You don’t have to be an artist; if you want to meet others, be creative, or both, this is the space for you!

Welcome to the community!
Dessert Before Dinner is a creative community open and welcoming to all! Founded with friendship-building and creative expression in mind, we host accessible and approachable events of different sizes and varieties so everyone feels at home.
Founded in March 2025 by Madison Seidel, a new Philly resident looking to pave a way into the creative scene. With a passion for social media and community, it seemed like a perfectly aligned concept, even if she didn’t know exactly where DB4D would go.
Fast forward to now, with Dessert Before Dinner just reaching one year old, and Madison is able to work in her dream career of social media marketing. She also gets to work with incredible brands like Glossier, Minor Figures, & Killer Brownie, be featured in local news sources like PHL17, The Philadelphia Citizen, & The Philly Inquirer, and meet some of the coolest people- all because she took a chance on building something special to her. There is so much more to come!
